Evan had so much fun when Gabriel came to visit. They were so cute interacting with each other. I wish they lived closer together so they could really develop a great friendship. So in other words, you guys need to come visit more often!!

My Favorite Things

My favorite time is right after bath time....at night.

One, because it's almost time for bed.

Two, I love the smell of clean kids.




Three, they look soooo cute.

The pjs that Kaori is wearing are the ones that she got when she went potty. By the way...no luck of doing it again. WHY?!!

Does anybody know how to get the pictures so that they are the right way?

Anyway...another thing that I love is finding great stuff at IKEA in the "as is" department.

I found baskets for $2.50. I got 7 of them. I was to slow for the other two. DANG! I can't wait to figure out what to put in them. I love that look of looking organized but it looks clean and somewhat "unrealistic". (you know...how they are on the organization shows? They have all these baskets that look cool and clever but really there is nothing inside because then it looks all cluttered.)

Lysle and I have a really bad habit of going to Ikea way too often. We seriously have found some awesome deals in the "as is". We even have our own special parking space that is right next to the door. It looks like its for loading purposes so it is always open. LOVE IT! So that is my find of the day. SEE YA!

BFFs on the Town

June 13th, Taylor and her BFF Madison goes out with their mommies for a mommy and me night.
They had a fab time. Their mommies took them to Chilis for dinner and on the way to shopping, their mommies hear them rapping (no kidding), kiddie rapping in the back seat. It was hilarious. The mommies also noticed that though their faces are not the same, they had the same body shape, look, hair color and holes in their teeth. You see, Madison and Taylor are both half Asian and half white. They noticed that they looked alike, so they decided that they should get matching outfits. Watch out world!! Its the new socialites coming to town!!!

Taylor Graduates From Kindergarten

On June 11th, Taylor graduated from kindergarten. She looked gorgeous!

She even got an the "Outstanding Writer Award".









Her teacher, Mrs. Deters told us that she had a vivid imagination and that she could always make the class laugh with her stories.

Evan's 1st Birthday

Evan's 1st Birthday was a lot of fun. He and Gabriel slept through most of it, but that was just so Evan could get up the energy for CAKE TIME!

He started out a little timidly, but once he got of taste of that sweet Philadelphia cream cheese frosting, he was all in!

And when I say all in, I mean he was all up in his cake like the gift box on Timberlake. Was that inappropriate?

Making Progress

I have been trying to potty train Kaori for about 3 months now. Well, I can't say training because I don't force it. I just ask if she would like to go on the potty. And she quickly responds with a big, "NO!". So we went to Target about 2 months ago to pick out a toy. She picked a Cinderella dress. I told her that if she goes "pee pee on the potty" ( love that phrase ) three times then she could have a Cinderella dress. Kaori's response was very positive and I actually thought that this would work. Well it's been 2 months since that day. She will see her chart and repeats to me with a huge smile and sometimes some jumping up and down, "Mom, pee pee on the potty three times and I get a Cinderella dress!" And I say, "yes that is right. Do you want to go sit on the potty?" "uhmm..no". This is a picture of her displaying her chart. She has small stickers for just sitting on the potty. But no big stickers on the toilets. My latest bribe which is why this picture exists is...if she goes ONE time she can wear her new Cinderella PJs. This bribe has been around for about a week and a half.



Well, right after Grandma and Grandpa O left she decided to put on her princess underwear and hang out. I was cleaning upstairs and I come downstairs and Kaori is sitting on the potty with her dress on and she tells me, "Mom, I did it!" I was like really? And yes she did it! Granted the underwear and dress were wet but it was in the potty. So Kaori finally got a big sticker on her potty chart. And wore her new PJs almost all day. Just two more to go and she will be Princess Cinderella. Man...what a pain!
