Future Firefighter

On Wednesday our playgroup went to the Holland Firehouse. Gabriel loved it and kept jumping up and down shouting, "I'm so excited! I'm so excited!" He's also decided that he wants to be a firefighter when he grows up.

He tried on the fireman's helmet, but about fell over from the weight. Too funny!

Those Oliveros Cuties

We've been having a very busy fall. Gabriel is loving preschool and it's so fun to see him learning so many new things. He's learned the Pledge of Allegiance and it's so cute hearing him say "indivisible." Here are some new pics of the kids together. Gabriel loves cuddling Genevieve (sometimes too much!)
We went to the opening of Lucas County's new arena and they had it set-up so that the kids could take shots at the goal on the ice. Gabriel really liked it, as long as the Walleye mascot kept his distance. Gabriel is not a fan of any of those big costumes. If that cow is ever outside the Chic-fila @ the mall we have to do a big detour around the food court to avoid it.
We've also gotten to go to the Zoo a couple of times. They have a new exhibit, Nature's Neighborhood w/ a jungle gym, stream and lots of hands on fun.
Here are some pictures of our little butterflies. One is obviously having more fun than the other.
I'm trying to take more pictures, but it's so sad how picture crazy we went on Gabriel and Genevieve isn't nearly as documented. I'm trying to keep up with her though. It's amazing how much she changes each day and she is getting so long! I think her eyes have almost settled on a color. They're looking more green these days so we'll see what they end up. I was sure she'd have brown eyes, but I think she will take after her Grandmas. She's a very happy baby and we all have fun making her laugh. The other day she was cracking up whenever Gabriel would say "football." Too cute!!

That's all for now!! Love you!

Expo Crazy

Hey Family and Friends:

Just wanted to share that now Soy Terrific is California's most sought after candle company. Here are a couple of pictures of my booth at the Arizona Ultimate Women's Expo.

My company did really well there and we have so many more coming up. Just thought I would share my success with the ones I love.

Love you all.

Finally

So Genevieve is now officially 2 mos old, but I thought we'd finally post pictures of her. She's absolutely perfect and so much fun. And even though hauling her around has put me in physical therapy twice a week, I couldn't imagine life without her. Gabriel has been a really good big brother and I think he really enjoys everything he's able to get away with while Mommy is nursing Genevieve. He told me the other day that Baby Genevieve is his best friend and it about made my heart melt. I'm home full-time now and love it. Life is now filled with pre-school, storytime and playgroup and no more patients, insurance companies or coworkers. I can't imagine a better job! Hopefully since I'm home more now I'll have more time to post updated pictures of the kids.

Back Home

This is home. Obviously I've built a new life with my own little family and home, but I will always feel like I'm home when I go back to Toledo. So much is familiar from the overwhelming cigarette smell as you walk out of the Detroit airport to the cloudy, overcast skies of Toledo.
Toledo has definitely been changing from when I grew up there. From TCBY getting burned down and turning into a check cashing place to the demolition of the Southwyck Mall. There are good changes too, like the new Mud Hens Stadium and the growth of towns surrounding Toledo.
But the thing Toledo definitely has over Denver are the TREES. All the streets are lined with big beautiful trees. I miss the autumn colors and the green summers. And I always miss being home with Mom and Dad. Mom makes the most delicious food and she's just nonstop in making sure we're comfortable. And Dad always has some interesting news or "funny" joke.

And it's always fun to see Enoch, Joy, and Gabriel. These boys had so much fun together.
We miss him already! It'll be fun to see everyone again for Christmas. We miss you guys!
