4th of July in WT Arvada

OK, so this is more catch-up on what I missed out on posting this summer on the family blog. We had just gotten the offer accepted on our house when we went to the Arvada fireworks. It was close enough that we just walked there from the apartment.

It was somewhat discouraging, looking around and being surrounded by WT. They even had some junky car show. I kept asking Brett if he was sure Arvada was a good choice. I still have my doubts...
But Evan just wanted to play on the playground till it was dark enough for the fireworks.
And then I saw this guy. Yes, he his thinning, but a mullet was still a good idea. And apparently so was a black tank top and fanny pack. Oh the sights you'll see in Arvada.

Here's Evan and Brady waiting for the fireworks.

And look at my handsome Brett. Brett doesn't feel very handsome lately, especially since he got his drivers license yesterday. OH MY GOODNESS, talk about the worst DL picture anyone could ever take! I can't even stop laughing just thinking about it. Anyway, so next time you see him, ask him to show it to you.

BUBBLES!

Ever since his first experience with a hot tub at Lake Tahoe, Evan has just loved bubbles (that's what he calls the hot tub) Well since our hot tub is still disgusting, (we haven't cleaned it out) we put Evan in the Jacuzzi tub in our bathroom. I'll let the pictures determine whether or not he enjoyed it...

Fun with Evan and Brady

Here are just some cute pictures of the boys together. They are getting along really well. Brady just lights up when he sees Evan. They are so handsome, I can't stand it. Enjoy!

Birthday at the Park

Mom and Dad put together a picinic on the last Saturday we were there to celebrate my birthday. I can't believe I'm getting closer to 30... YIKES.
Anyway, Evan really enoyed the park and Brady was loving all the attention from Grandma and Grandpa!

Brady loves his Grandma!
Thanks Mom and Dad for the nice picinic. We miss you very much!

The Toledo Zoo Visit

Enoch did a really good job having stuff set up for us to do during our trip out to OH. We were able to spend a lot of time with Gabriel, and Evan was loving life.
We went to the Toledo Zoo on Monday, right?, cause it was free before noon.
We spent most of the time in the Arctic room, because it was air conditioned, and Toledo was boiling lava hot that day.

Seal!

Polar bears!
OK, we've lost interest...
And he's asleep.
Thanks Enoch, that was really fun!

The Butterfly House in Whitehouse

Mom took us to Whitehouse to the Butterly house. It was a really cool butterfly exhibit with all kinds of butterflies. The butterflies would land on heads and eat from the banana peels that were left out. It was really fun. Evan and Gabriel really enjoyed it. They ran around like crazy, both inside the house and outside. It was a great time.

Mom got the boys matching shorts.
It was really hot that day, and no AC inside the butterfly area!
Gabriel, can he be any cuter?
Attack of the butterflies!!
And that was a great outing. Thank you Mom!

Evan and Gabriel at Grandma and Grandpa's House

OK, so I couldn't let another month go by without anyone posting anything on the family blog. Things have been so hectic and crazy with the move to CO and settling in, but now things are starting to get back to normal.
During the move, Evan, Brady and I went to OH while the packers came and got the house packed up in VA, and then unloaded in CO.
Brett was stuck dealing with all that stuff, but overall it wasn't too awful of a process.
During our trip in OH, the boys played in the sprinklers, ate ice cream, and just really enjoyed each other. Here are some pictures.

We miss you Gabriel!!!
